Summary: After all was said and done...
After all was said and done he had to admit she fascinated him. There was no logical reason (at least in his mind) for this simple fact to be true, but he couldn’t deny that this strange girl fascinated him in more way than one. She was like this little dream he had always had but could never remember. Maybe she was the dream he hid from even himself: a person who could love him for just being him and could forgive all of his mistakes. And they amounted to many.
She was this puzzle he kept trying to piece together but never could. She was a mystery to him: this strange girl who accepted all his faults- the death and the anger- and never blinked. She was his escape from his sins, his atonement. She would wrap her arms around him and chase away the doubts that ate away at his mind, and she never questioned his darkness or his moods, just kept smiling and asking him to try, just try, to be happy, to be the person she knew he was deep down.
He was always trying to get away from him, to turn around and push her away, in his mind to protect her, in her mind just to hurt her. Strange how two people could think so differently on the exact same subject.
She would never let him push her away though, swearing to stay with him, to make him into the man he was meant to be. She found beauty in him when he couldn’t find beauty in himself, accepted his darkness and his faults. She swore she would make him into who he really was, would work with him and stay with him, loving him.
She would love him until the end.
