She raised an eyebrow at him, folded her arms across his chest. Okay, he knew she was annoyed, but she couldn’t tell why. “Stupid should hurt,” she said with a sigh.
He arched a dark brow. “What are you referring to?”
“Reno!” She sat down with a sigh. “Stupid mullet-head is getting on my nerves. Does the guy forget I’m a girl or something?”
“I do not think so. Why?”
“Well, he must otherwise he wouldn’t tell me explicit details of his sex life with various random girls from the whole of this damn world. I mean, come on! If Elena doesn’t want to hear it, what makes him think that I will?”
“You are not Elena.”
“No, I’m Yuffie, and not really his friend anyway.”
“I was under the impression you were.”
“Okay, okay, so I am his friend. That just makes it more annoying. He should know I don’t want to hear that shit.”
He shrugged. “He is Reno. Sometimes he does not think before he speaks.”
He shrugged again.
She sighed, climbing from her side of the booth to his, scooting him over, placing her head on his shoulder. “He makes me so mad.”
“I am aware.”
“Can you shoot him for me?”
The edge of his mouth twitched. “I think not, Yuffie.”
“I fear you would miss your friend too much.”
She sighed. “I suppose you’re right. Since when are you so smart, Vinnie?”
He turned his head to look at her, a brow arched again. “You were under the impression I was unintelligent?”
She smiled. “No. Just felt like making fun of you.”
She snickered. “In more ways than one.”
He almost smiled. Almost. But instead he pressed his lips against hers, shut her mouth and kept her words from flowing free.
