#97- Writer's Choice
Yuffie made me go to my mother’s grave. I hadn’t wanted to go, for many reasons, most of which I would never tell her. She insisted though, kept telling me that I had to go, I had to say goodbye, had to do many things I never did before, tell my mother things I never said to her in life.
So I sat by her grave, looked at the stone, glanced back every so often at Yuffie waiting for me. I wasn’t really sure what to say, wasn’t sure what to do, so I looked at the stone and whispered, “That’s Yuffie.” And when I stood up and went to leave to join her I added. “I love her.”
I swear I could hear my mother’s laughter.
