Summary: The one they love calls them.
They never really knew when he would come back from a business trip. He always left the two of them behind. “If I live because you die life would be pretty damn boring.” They knew it was his way to say he loved them, but he would never say the words: it was not his nature, and they accepted it eagerly.
The phone rang in the dead of night and she groaned shifting against Tseng’s heavy weight, pressing herself against his firm chest. In their sleepy state they couldn’t tell who’s phone it was, or where it was. Two rings later and Tseng was fumbling with strong fingers to answer the phone and press it to his ear as he tugged her back snuggly against him. “Hello?”
“You two having fun?”
Tseng arched an eyebrow, turned on the speaker phone. “Why do you ask?”
“I just want to know if you two are having fun.”
She yawned, covering her mouth with one dainty hand and snuggled closer to her lover. “How can we without you?” she mumbled.
The man on the other end of the line gave a sharp laugh. “You’re rather tired Laney.”
“Worked almost a day straight,” she mumbled again, rubbing her eyes with her fists. To Tseng she looked like a small child: innocent, sweet, beautiful.
“Who put you on that long?” He didn’t even try to mask the annoyance in his voice.
“Reno was sick,” Tseng explained. “Pretty bad too apparently. Doctor’s orders not to come in, so Laney volunteered to cover for him.”
“Elena, I thought I told you not to do that.”
“I know,” she said quietly. “But I felt bad for Reno, and someone needed to cover for him, so-“
“Don’t do it again.” It wasn’t a request. It was an order.
“Okay.” She was pouting like a little child, and looked so cute Tseng couldn’t help himself: he kisses her deeply, kissed her soundly.
“Now I know you two are having fun without me.”
Tseng’s short laughter flooded the air. “What makes you say that?” He quirked an eyebrow, slid his hand under the covers and slid a finger inside Elena. She gasped, closed her eyes, batted at his shoulder.
Rufus sighed from his end of the line. “This is horribly unfair. You two are having all this fun and I am stuck here by myself.”
Again that laugh. “We’ll be sure to make it up to you when you get back.”
Elena was currently too busy biting hard on her hand so she wouldn’t make a sound as Tseng worked her to even answer.
“Very well. I should be going.”
She let her hand fall away. “Rufus?” she called breathlessly.
“We miss you.”
He hesitated for a moment, then sighed. “I miss you too.” Four small words, but each one held a smile, and when his line clicked dead they didn’t have to worry about him.
Tseng put the phone back to the side, kissed her neck. “You seemed angry with me.”
“That was rude to do while he was on the phone.”
Tseng merely smirked, lifted up the sheets. “You know you enjoy it.”
“I most certainly do-oh!”
Her hips arched against him against her will desperate to feel more of his tongue inside of her. “I hate you,” she breathed.
“No, you love me,” he countered as his body shook with laughter.
She closed her eyes savoring the feel of his sinful kiss as he pressed her hips against the bed to stop them from arching closer towards him. “Hmm, yes, I love you both.”
And truthfully, they all did love each other. With all that they were.
