One of the most beautiful sounds to Rude’s ears was when he would make her laugh. It was music to his ears, a sound he cherished more than life itself.

He found that most of the time, he would rather hear her laugh than anything else. When he was having a rough day he would watch her quietly for a while before reaching over and tickling her, listening to her surprised squeal, then loud laughter as she squirmed and tried to get away from him, pleading for him to let up. “I can’t breathe.”

“Then why are you talking?”

He would find himself laughing along with her as he continued to tickle her, before pressing his lips against hers, kissing away the laughter and quickly bringing her from humor to passion, pulling the covers over them as his hands wandered across the flesh of her legs.
